The Thinkware U1000 offers a significant update on previous models by introducing full 4K ultra HD video recording. For improved image resolution in your footage, ensuring even the smallest detail is not missed.
Thinkware's Night Vision 2.0, Wide Dynamic Range and Automatic Exposure provide practical improvements in the technology offered in dash cams. Reducing the chance of recordings being impaired by weather conditions and lighting.
A wide-angle 150◦ view keeps everything in sight, decreasing the chance of omissions in your recordings.
Recording Resolution
4K Ultra UD (3840 x 2160p) can be recorded on front camera with a wide 150° view at 30fps. If you prefer you can choose a higher framerate of 60fps with 2K image quality, the decision is up to you.
The rear camera provides a 2K QHD image resolution for recording everything which is happening behind you.
Thinkware Cloud
Geo-Fencing
Stay alert to the location of your vehicle, by ensuring it stays within a certain radius. This can be useful to parents, rental companies, and fleet management. As, if the vehicle moves outside of the radius a notification will be sent through the mobile app, Thinkware Cloud.
Locate Vehicle
Check the current location of your vehicle with updates being provided every 10 seconds. With the location, speed, and direction being shown on Google Map.
Driving Impact Notification
In the event of an accident, this feature can help the driver to contact others and inform them of the emergency. The family member or owner can then check on the situation remotely. This is particularly important when the driver is not in a condition to contact others unassisted.
Also, when the car experiences an impact of g-force level greater than 3g or 4g while driving. The dashcam automatically sends a notification of the incident to the Thinkware Cloud app. Along with a 20-second video showing what happened, 10 seconds before and after the event.
Energy Saving Mode
If sleep mode is active, the U1000 will wake up within a second of registering a rock via the G-=sensor and record for the next 20 seconds.
Time Lapse
Continuous recording is useful but can be storage intensive if your vehicle is stationary for longer periods.
With time-lapse, you can record at 2 frames per second. This ensures passing vehicles and people will be captured, without filling up your storage card too quickly.
To help with the review, time-lapsed footage can be watched at up to 15x standard speed.
Safety Camera Alerts
Super Night Vision 2.0
Thinkware's Super Night Vision Technology. Already one of the market-leading examples, Super Night Vision 2 now provides even clearer images in low light environments.
This enhances footage recorded on the road at night, and when parked.
Wide Dynamic Range
Useful for reducing glare and improving the contrast between light and dark. The high-resolution sensor has a wide dynamic range to compensate for quick exposure changes.
This is the sort of thing that can occur as you emerge from a tunnel or turn a corner into direct sunlight.
Automatic Exposure
A sudden rise in light exposure causes glare that can adversely affect the final recorded image. Moving from light to dark and vice-versa (such as tunnels or entering/leaving an area with street lighting) has the same effect. F800 Pro manages incoming light levels from all sources to balance the final footage and avoid glare.
